Welcome to my kitchen

Photo: ©nini.tjader.2014  Table, massive white-oiled oak, Skagen from Bolia. They still sell it. This has one extra prolongation added to it towards the window. Friend of mine has the second of those. We split the package between us. White chairs from IKEA who do no longer sell them. Carpet? Have had it for decades. It is Finish, 100 % cotton. Washable in large washing-machine. Lamp? No, it is not the original designer lamp SEMI by GUBI which recently resurfaced and is sold again. This is the Ikea copy, which I have changed the electricity parts in. Hanging fruit-baskets  from Lagerhaus. I have no curtains in the kitchen, but I’ve kept the curtain-rods to hang other things on.

It is still there. My kitchen. Haven’t changed much since last I wrote about it. At the time I got one comment about it: that it is cramped. Well… it is and at the same time not. I love the window-corner with the table, as above. Because it is light, always light.

But the rest? It is not all that well organized when it comes to cupboards and such. Still have the same thoughts about it that I had then. If I had the means I would take it all out and rebuild from scratch… But I don’t have the means/money for it. So I have to keep on living with it. Swearing every time I need to take something out from the lower, deep cupboards. Or when I need to add yet something to the tiny fridge or freezer… Only thing I’ve changed since I moved in are the cupboard handles.

That bottom cupboard to the left … Impossible to reach anything in it without taking out almost everything on the same shelf… Very impractical.

Yes. That is my “office” out there just outside the kitchen. Photo: ©nini.tjader.2014
