Rethymnon, Crete – the beach. The beach is 1,2 kms long and has a walk alongside it all the way from hotel Plaza where I lived (which was about 20 meters from the end of the walk) into to the town proper. There is plenty of space for everyone on the beach. Sunchairs with sunumbrellas are for rent for a reasonable price. On the other side of the sidewalk are plenty of hotels, cafés, restaurants and mini-supermarkets.
