Carpet cooperative
This is the first carpet cooperative I visited during this stay. It is common that at least one carpet factory or cooperative is visited during each trip you take. What you see above are mainly kelim carpets.

This carpet cooperative was very nice and the people there were not as agressive to sell as they usually are at the places visited by tourists. We had a long and educating show of the premises and of how the carpets were made, the silk spun, and the wool dyed.

In the end I actually bought a long kelim carpet for my hall at home. I've always wanted one and thought that if I wouldn't take that opportunity, I would always regret it - as I've done when in Tunisa and saw some lovely carpets and did not buy. My carpet was called the Arc of Noa and is full of animals. It is 3 meters long and about 80 cms wide, all wool and all natural colors. I am really happy with it.
