At Pamukkale there are pools with water from a hot spring. The waters are supposed to be very healthy and to make you younger... In 1995 all the pools were still open (in 2003 only this one was still open). There are ancient marble pillars at the bottom of the pool where bathers can rest. It is expensive to enter the pool but included in the entrance fee to enter the poolarea where also the cafeterias are.
The pool is sometimes called Cleopatra's well.
Not far from here is also a well-preserved amphitheater.
