This is a Kilim-carpet in blue and white in wool on wool. The kilim carpet doesn't have any knots but is weaved on a frame with the yarn going back and forth the lenth of each colored pattern. Kilim-carpets are said to have a lifespan of 40-60 years. (I bought a long one in 2003 that I fell in love with).
