The first time I visited Mdina I strolled in the town outside the old walled part of Mdina for a while because the preparations for some religious festival were going on everywhere. The whole town was decorated with flags and stands and angels and saints. Very colorful. I have no idea which festival was to be celebrated – there are many at Malta. Here a statue of some knight.
